I don't understand some of the harness drivers actions

The good drivers in harness racing make pretty good money and I don't think they will get involved in sham races.


The risk is just too great for them to play with their livelihoods not to speak of their tarnishing their reputation for good.

Everyone in every field that makes far more than harness drivers has people cheating and trying to get extra advantages. Are chemicals used to cheat in race's yes, that's a fact we see fines and suspensions monthly in Harness. "Race fixing"where there are plots or plans by several drivers to control a race out come, I find that hard to believe. People who spread this type of Bullshit in forums or in public do and have done real damage to Harness racing. If you don't have proof of this activity, don't kill the sport for the rest of us just because you're a loser.

This is how a professional driver like Doug McNair reacted after his horse#6 Hemi Seelster who was the hot even money favorite in the race made a break before the start of the race.. He stayed away from the fair start pole as far as possible causing a refund to the horse players to the tune of $86737.
