You can use any Windows tablet, however there is a problem I have encountered. It does not display 1/2 lengths. That is, a horse that was trailing by 3 1/2 lengths will read as 3 lengths. A horse trailing by 1/2 length will show no margin. It has no problem with 1/4 and 3/4 lengths.

There is the possibility that this is unique to my tablets, but I doubt it.

Sorry I cannot help, but it looks like the BRIS PP Generator
http://www.brisnet.com/cgi-bin/stati...ge=ppgenerator

was built to run under a version of Windows that was merely an operating environment running on top of a DOS Operating System. It is unclear if any modern version of Windows will support it.

However, I believe that they now have a Custom PP Generator
w.brisnet.com/cgi-bin/dynamic.cgi?page=custompp

which will run under more modern versions of Windows.

According to this thread
http://216.92.33.211/forum/showthread.php?t=114146

some posters have been able to run it on Windows 7 and Windows 8 (including the 64 bit versions). Hence, you may want to consider the Surface Pro 3 (though it is a bit large for a tablet) or something mentioned in this article:

Good luck.

I've had this problem with some laptops and my tablets. I worked with someone at bris and they sent me a revised custompp.exe file and replacement fonts to install and my 1/2, 1/4, and 3/4s are back.

Are we able to upload files and attach to a post on this site?

My version of BRIS Custom PP Generator also does not show 1/2 lengths (OS is Win 8.1). I'd appreciate an upload of the file that corrects this error. If that's not possible, I'll get in touch with BRIS.

Thanks,
Krudler

They should put the fix on their site. It got to be costing them some bucks. It was a deal breaker for me.

Install these fonts and overwrite the existing ones that were installed with the software installation. Google how to install fonts for your operating system. Windows 8 you just double click and it opens a window that shows what the font looks like and there is an install button on the top left.

This is a PP generator problem. The Multicaps data is okay? There isn't any known problems, is there?

Me neither. Plus, I'm not smart enough to figure out how to install the fonts.
