Ummm no...
The FBI does carry out "vetting" operations. Its actually pretty common for them.

SM a fence sitter? Hilarious.
He's had a hardon for me for almost a decade.

As long as they can finish in time for Kavanagh to be on the court come October 1, I'm all for it...investigate away.
However, this is nothing but a last minute stall tactic to prevent him from being on the court for the next session. And prevent a confirmation until after the midterms, when Dems are hoping and praying they can somehow take back the Senate.

I don't care at all about him making the October 1st session.
That's pretty disingenuous considering all the stalling and delaying tactics Garland faced. It shouldn't have been sat on like it was either but its a lifetime appointment. It can take its sweet ass time.
There is no rule regarding the amount of justices anyway... who cares... let it play out.

There's a difference between vetting and investigating. So in your words, "ummm no..."

It a charade and both sides know it. The woman is going to get plowed under whenever the hearing occurs because apparently Kavanaugh has three people lined up to testify under oath and felony perjury that nothing happened. So it's really her word against four people.

The Dems are so desperate right now, it will astonish me if there isn't massive claims of voter fraud in the mid-terms....FACT.

Yeah, let it play out...and then if the Senate turns blue like you think there is a more than fair chance it will...no sir. Not gonna let that happen with SPECIAL K.
Elections have consequences. Republicans need to toughen up.

For the 100th timer, the reopening of a FBI background investigation was done during the end of the Clarence Thomas confirmation, when both Grassly and Hatch and chairman Bidene commended to George H W Bush to rep-open the investigation when Anita Hill's new allegations come out.

A background check ("investigation") should not be confused for a criminal investigation. The former checks to see if a someone already has a criminal record, while the latter checks to see if some specific crime has been committed.
What would another background investigation yield that would be new, given that the alleged assault or whatever was committed over 35 years ago?

They force this guy through and the odds of the Senate turning blue go up substantially. A blue senate means the president is one meeting away from the minority leader (it wouldn't be McConnell anymore) heading to the White House to be removed.
Everything has consequences... ramming through a guy, I don't think anyone feels is a really great selection at this point, so you guys can feel like you padded the W column isn't really a W.

Are you really that OK with everything that has gone on since Trump became President (actually, well before that...let's go back to when he first announced)?
You're really ok with all the the shady shit that has gone down to throw everything but the kitchen sink at the President of the USA...you don't think any of the myriad of shit that has gone down has been unjustified and a pretty frightening abuse of power?
You're more comfortable living with all the tactics and subversion that has been used, then living with Trump as POTUS?
I'm not. What has gone down should scare the shit out of EVERYONE, no matter what side of the political aisle you reside. But because it's happening in the name of "Get Trump Outta There!" it's OK.
smh
