Rest in Peace. I just looked his stats up, I forgot all about his leaving the Celtics at the end of his career.

I remember him at kansas, hard to believe he was only 71. Fun player to watch.

I remember him being considered "A Great Little Man" in the NBA. But he was 6' 3"!!! My height! (and I didn't play organized ball for good reasons.)

One of the most underated players in NBA history.

Before the now-famous 'show time' era of an LA Lakers team of Magic, Jabbar, Wilkes etc., Jo Jo White spearheaded an earlier Celtics version with him at the point plus the likes of Dave Cowens and John Havlichek doing the rebounding, running, passing, and scoring.

He was also drafted in both the NFL and MLB.

RIP to one of my most favorite of players, Jo Jo White (even though he killed my Knickerbockers more often than any Celtics star of my young fan era).

RIP.
