The Mavericks are +3 at home against the Nuggets tonight. Anyone have a valid reason why...before I bet the rent on the home team?

A decision has apparently been made to suspend the season, over concerns regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.

I don't understand whether this means playing the games without fans, or what...

It is going to be tough for the Rockets in the playoffs with no big. The game is different, it is called different, and you have to play the same team over and over. It isn't helping that they might not even get home court.

Time will tell, I still want Russ to do well, but I don't think this team is set up for postseason success. That said, I wouldn't want to see the Thunder have to play them. The Thunder have been quite the surprise, but they are not a deep team and playing the Rockets could make two pieces of their rotation (Adams, Noel) hard to play many minutes.

Have a feeling we may not be getting the answer to this question this year! But it's an interesting question now whether any NBA team can be successful at a high level without a 5-out team. 4/5 of the last NBA title-winners could put a team on the floor with five guys who could shoot the three -- and the fifth (Cleveland) had four three-shooters.
