That is not what you said when I made tribute to Bobby Kennedy on the 50th anniversary of his assassination.

Can we please get this thread back on topic, and not have it degenerate?

John McCain spent his life in Public Service, trying to make America a better place.

Do I agree with everything he said & did? No.
Do I think {and this IS very retrospective} that maybe the cancer was affecting him long before it was discovered? Maybe.

Let the historians sort it all out over the next century.

He was a leader for us. We need to respect him, and pray for both him, and his family, as they have lost someone that they loved dearly.

Senator McCain: Rest in peace, even though some here on the PA Board might desire otherwise. :-)

Amen.

Democratic candidate Sen. Barack Obama, said McCain's age and skin cancer history were fair game as a campaign issue. "We're talking about a reality here that we have to face." A few days ago, a liberal activist group, Brave New Films, ran a full-page ad in the New York Times, accompanied by a petition signed by more than 2,700 physicians calling on McCain to release his full medical records.

All this skates over the fact that McCain already allowed reporters a peek at eight years worth of health records, dating back to 2000, while Obama released a one-page summary from his doctor.

Yup

Hillary falls flat on her face (almost) and nobody demanded to see ALL of her medical records dating back to forever...well, nobody in the FAKE NEWS msm

But someone will come on here and tell us she released her medical records.

Renée Fleming

Renée Fleming is set to perform at former Senator John McCain’s memorial service.

During the senator’s service, the soprano will perform the will sing the Irish standard “Danny Boy,” per the former senator’s request.

According to her manager Dannielle Thomas, Fleming stated that she was very honored to perform the song. The memorial service for the late senator is scheduled to be held at the Washington National Cathedral on Saturday.

Fleming’s star has been on the rise over the past few years. She became the first opera star to perform in the Super Bowl and then appeared on the soundtrack for two Oscar-nominated films this past year.

Watched his casket moving towards Washington DC this evening.

Does anyone know about the McCain Institute? Is it ran similar to the Clinton Foundation?

The Clinton Foundation is part library and part massage parlor.

History Channel had a documentary on McCain's life last night.
Many of you will enjoy watching it.

McCain stopped the Senate from killing Obamacare. You might want to re-think “touched”
