I can see it both ways - if the manager had a history of calling the police on loiters of every race, which is entirely possible, then the whole episode was/is blown way out proportion.

It's good to see this country will NEVER get past race.
Precisely because of stuff like this.
Plus it tends to fund a good chunk of one of our political parties. They wouldn't want to see that revenue source shrivel up and die, so it's in their best interests to make sure race is a central issue, even when it isn't.

Exactly how does "race" fund the Dem party? Do non-white people provide a significant percentage of contributions to the Dem party? if not, what exactly is your point?

It's a huge fundraising angle for them...I'm sure we can all agree on that.
I wouldn't want racism to disappear either if I were the Democratic party, or if I were Al Sharpton or if I were etc. etc....so I'd invent anything I could to continue stoking those flames...like "racism" at one of the most liberal establishments currently...Starbucks....
Yeah...right...I'd bet my life savings that manager didn't call the cops because the people in question were black. Just like many people disliked Obama for reasons other than his race.

If this manager is a racist, as they actually infer, how come she was not fired immediately?
Both Johnson and Schultz are disingenuous cowards, plain and simple.

Nothing a good waterboarding or caning couldn't cure. Beyond that, I'm impressed that both the Founder as well as the CEO of Starbucks have psychology degrees and can read minds and hearts.
If I were the manager, I'd be sitting in front of a lawyer this morning planning the defamation lawsuit.

unconscious bias...good one
You know what...I say we, as a nation, just come right out and stop pretending.
Just go full throttle NAZI and open up some "reeducation camps" where we can put these unconsciously biased people...better yet, put them in jail for their evil thoughts and unconscious motives...or even better yet, exterminate them.

I never saw, heard or read from those social justice warriors that run Starbucks -- Johnson and Schultz -- utter a single word when a Starbucks employe -- located in a different Philladelpha, Pa., actually -- said no to a Police Officer who requested to use the men's room!
This happened in 2015 and the police office was told he needed to buy something first.

I Wonder
I wonder when and what store or restaurant Sid was in when he is was told to leave? He is a little short of specifics, he sounds like a real tough guy what does he do for a living?
Well here is an article from the New York Post.
https://nypost.com/2018/03/03/radio-...vered-lawsuit/
And from Wikipedia we have.
Inflammatory television commentary[edit]
Rosenberg was no stranger to controversy on the Imus show, which was also simulcast on MSNBC cable television. Among other things, he said on-air that Venus Williams was an "animal," and that she and Serena Williams would be better suited for National Geographic Magazine than for Playboy,[4] that "faggots play tennis"[5] and that the United States women's national soccer team were "a bunch of juiced up dykes."[6
I don't mind taking guidance but he wouldn't be from good old Sid.
