Weren't we told about the whole Trump telling Comey to go ahead and investigate, if the people being investigated are close to him? Could have sworn that came out a long time ago...I guess it was just a rumor back then? But now it's in Comey's notes?

I don't see how the leaking of the memos is good for Trump at all. Comey's testimony, book, and memos about the conversations all consistent.

Looks like a draw to me, at best.

You need to check your bias at the door then if you believe Trump has nothing to crow about last night. The larger takeaway from the memos is that Trump asked point blank that the FBI find out the truth on Russian collusion. All he additionally stated and asked was that he himself was never involved in such activity and would like the FBI to so state that point so that he could govern. To me, that's perfectly normal for a president to ask. Instead, Comey decided to leave Trump twisting in the wind. No wonder he got fired.

Hook, line and sinker....again.... .again....again...again. In your case it can be traced back all the way to the 2016 election, you advocated that Mrs. Clinton actually won the election because of the popular vote.

Only in your world. They absolutely vindicate Trump, and show Comey as a petty, self serving know-it-all. We have also found out that two of the memos Comey leaked to his law professor friend were classified. I hope Comey didn't lose his get out of jail free card. That's gonna cost him.

Just because there are parts that are blacked out or redacted does not mean they are classified - they could be personal like stuff about yoga class or friends kids wedding....

No one is going to tell the truth in a book.
One memo, however, hold FAR more weight than any book ever will.

The memo came from the real world.
The book has an agenda.

Absolutely spot-on. The memo was in the thick of things when they were happening; the book, on the other hand, is an afterthought long after the fact.
