Race 1

7 THEY TOOK THE BAR

Drops in class here, after some consistent races of 1:56-1:57. Best closer in the field, gained 5 lengths in the last 1/4 last out. If driven correctly, will win against this weak field.

Race 2

1 CANNAE ROCKY

Was bet to 7-1 at this class in last, from the 5 hole. Record mark this year is a 1:55 flat, back on April 25th. The miles have been around a 1:53 the last 2 races, finishing ITM in both at this class. The favorite, 4 RAPID CENTURIAN, was favorite in that race last out. Although, has never pressed a pace the 1 can set, and broke stride last out, pressing 1's pace. Not sure what is going to happen here. 4 Will be favorite.

Race 3

1 SIR SIRO

Tom Jackson drives, as the Gelding draws the rail in this WEAK NW1 Field. Closed a good 4 lengths in the stretch in last, on the slop. Miles before that have been a consistent 2:00. Looks to be only logical contender.

Race 4

5 CAMS LUCKY CHARM

Morrill keeps the drive. He has driven this mare to 2 Wins, and 1 Place in 3 starts. Gets firing lane, 5 hole here. Won from the 7 in last, Closing in 29, after a very fast pace of the race in 26.3, 55.2. Will be at short odds, but should be as close to a lock as can get.

Race 5

5 A REAL LASER

Have a hunch here. Claimed in last by a VERY hot barn, makes 1st start, and back with Pavia who drove him to a blazing 1:56.4 and 1:57.1 in 2 starts over a month ago. Only horse that can close against the likely :57 half mile, the 5 will set, is the 1 STREETWISE HALL. A lot to like, but we will slow bet, as the barn may want a ride before firing.

2 EBONY ISLE

Tioga Downs shipper, draws the 2 hole here. Has shown she can make 1 great move, and believe thats what it will take here. Fairly weak field here, with favorite 5, who will probably go off at below even odds. We will play a Place bet here only.

Race 7

6 COPPER MOGUL

Another Weak NW1 field. First Lifetime start in last, finished in 2:00.1. Finished very well the last 1/4, making up some ground. Draws middle of track here, which may help. Not much in the way of SOLID horses here, so we will play this and possibly get over 7-1 odds.

Race 8

5 SIDEREAL HANOVER

Parked 1st 1/4 in last. Parker gets the Catch-Drive here. He has been able to finish the mile in 1:54. Form is VERY good leading up to last, and the 8th place, may help the odds here. Has been on slop last 2. Looks like a good spot, and Parker is reliable. 7/2 M/L, lets hope for 3-1 or better.

What do you call a horseplayer that insists on betting superfectas at POCONO DOWNS without a substantial rebate? Before you answer, check this track's takeout on superfectas....AN OUTRAGEOUS AND SHAMEFUL 35 %! Now you can go ahead and answer the question...I suspect some of the answers will be insulting

I live 2 hrs from Pocono Downs, and refuse to go travel there for that very reason. The Track's takeout is very insulting and demanding. If I bet the track, it is done from home, or from the local Harness Track.

Forget about the high takeout and lack of rebates, they don't even have dime superfecta's. That alone is a reason not to play it. Of course if they did I would play regardless.
