Last night, the 45th president became inmate number P01135809 of Georgia’s Fulton County Jail. Trump had his mug shot taken. It was shared with the public. We looked, of course. And he was prepared for our gaze: hair, makeup, angle, pose. In the portrait—it is a portrait, in the end—Trump glares directly into the camera. He seethes. He glowers. He turns in a studied performance. Photos like this are typically exercises in enforced humility. Trump’s is a display of ongoing power. He treats his mug shot as our menace.

Why do I feel like I want to watch V for Vendetta again?

Since this country is already basically dead...maybe I should just abandon all efforts to look elsewhere and just go full Trump ahead.

The guy increased his lead after the Republican debates.

There's no way he doesn't win the nomination unless something REALLY drastic happens...so...I'm gonna cast all my worries aside and just go down with the ship and hope for a miracle Trump win in November 2024 in the end. There is no sense in beating my head against a brick wall.

besides, it's going to be fun to see what they do in 2024 to rig this thing to the hilt, even more than they did in 2020.

I liked how that series folded together, anyway some fool called Silvio a derogatory name in a public setting. Months later that fool had car trouble as I recall. The lesson is tomorrow will be a day in its own light. V for Vendetta was not that good.

Exactly how I feel. No way the Dems will let him win though. They own the ballot boxes in the inner cities. It’s been proven they can do whatever they want with ballots.

I hope I live long enough to see the inner cities fall further and further apart. That’s the only thing that could turn anything around. That and a shooting war…..and Americans don’t have the will for a real shooting war.
