Well...I've been hustled again, this time by Amazon. Even though I received the kindle book only yesterday, and have a 7 day window to return it for a refund...since I pre-ordered the book on the 11th of the month, Amazon has listed this day as the date of purchase...and they are telling me that the return window closed on August 18, even though I received this book on the 22nd.

I guess I can at least take comfort in the fact that I didn't pay $31.50 plus tax for the hardback copy.

Amazon is not hard to reach by phone at 1-888-280-4331 - 24 hours I think

I've called them several times

when you explain this to them they will prolly resolve this to your satisfaction - it's prolly just a tech glitch

I have never had a problem with Amazon and I use them quite often

I read somewhere that I forget that Amazon is cracking down on returns, things may have changed. For the record I don't use them much.

Well...I wish I had gone to bed because the book isn't at all what it's advertised to be. There isn't anything here that could be of any help to an aspiring sports handicapper who wants to follow in Walters' footsteps. All we get from Mr. Walters is a bunch of stories about his interactions with some colorful mob figures, casino owners, famous gamblers, and deceased drug traffickers. Even though Walters claims to have been wildly successful betting every sport, his handicapping "Master Class" is restricted to football...and contains only the sort of basic information that has seen much better coverage in a variety of other lesser-hyped sports handicapping books. In other words...the book is all sizzle and no steak.

In fact...I am so disappointed with this purchase that I will do something that I have never done with any of the thousands of books that I have bought in my lifetime. I am sending this one back for a refund.
interesting, thanks for the write up. I figured as much when just about everything centered around his stories about Phil, there wouldnt be much else to the book.

For the record, its Phils money, he can do whatever he wants with it. Hate fucking people playing the moral high ground when it comes to something as personal as gambling. He obviously developed an issue, needed help, got it, and that is that.

I also think its righteous how Rory gets up there, cracks jokes about someone's addictions, and gets no push back from the media because its easy to hate on Phil right now, and Rory is the PGA tours poster child right now.

Wow! Love it! I gamble (horses, trade options) love Phil and the chances he takes and I also hate the media.

Message to Phil: Rehab is for quitters. Keep doing what you do. Your fans love it!

In the vernacular of his homeland, Rory is a c*nt.

.

Every time I read such stores I think two things. I wish I could afford to lose $100 mil gambling, and I hope the loses were spread around, so as many as people as possible benefited. I also think the average person is not good at math and cannot quickly put Phil's loses on Phil's scale. They just think Phil is losing their lifetime's wages in a year or less.
