We are planning on having Dani come back to share the booth with me in April of next year at Turf Paradise.

Oh so like TVG I mean FanDuelTV
Apparently, they are the only ones who do this lol
This whole thread has me going back to the announcing that I did when I was at Saratoga: maybe I should ask Parx if they are interested in an announcer if she doesn't pan out

Every single race is a struggle! she never sounds like she's in control. Once Finger Lakes and Mountaineer are closed, they need to bring in one of those guys! It was a great idea, but it's not working!

Just caught the seventh race. Pause, stammer, sputter ... incompetent hire to be the voice of your track.

This effort from last Wednesday sums it up.
Winner despite always being withing two lengths of the lead gets called by name only twice including just squeezing it in as they cross the wire. 3rd was called only once, two horses never mentioned at all.

I really do think this demonstrates the "Marshall Cassidy" point from up above. She should just stop trying to insert commentary at all and just get the rhythm down, calling all the way back into the field and making sure she has the silks memorized. She sounds super-nervous.
Just call all the way back, first by a head, second by a length, 3rd by 3, etc., until she gets the hang of that. Try to catch all the horses in contention in the stretch. She can try to insert some commentary into her calls later after she gets that down.

Every announcer who's ever amounted to anything has followed this process and laying of foundation to a tee.

Calling Races is a 'craft'.
you can't just be 'positive' and a good person and a good 'brand' for racing and expect to be successful

There was a Bloodhorse article which mentioned "With at least 50 races under her belt already".
No-one should be considered qualified for a mid-tier track with that level of experience, and it is showing.

Sorry to hear she is having problems race calling, she did a good job of paddock announcing when she was at Suffolk, and was wishing the best for her. Hope she improves.
