Longshot next year?

3 years in a row the favorite has won the derby... Gotta think next year comes up with a horse upward of 10-1

what does the last 3 years have to do with next year?

maybe you believe in the law of averages?

Perhaps the point system is helping to make the race more true to form. That said, Orb, Chrome, and AP were all solid contenders in what I believe were relatively weak fields. I'm not going to be so hell bent trying to beat the favorite next year.

Nope. Now that the races are run on a point system, and each "region" has a head to head champion, the race SEEMS to be running more "true to form"...

Its been "chalk" three years in a row now, and that is a big JOLT to my handicapping, as I come from a time when the favorite didnt win the derby for many years... In the immortal words of Bob Dylan "Oh the times they are a changin' "

do you think Ill Have Another and Animal Kingdom would of been higher in pts tho thus lower odds and easier to identify as a major contender?
