I know iv said this before but this was a really good 3 year old crop highlighted by a truly great horse. But assuming AP goes to the Haskell and not the Travers then the Travers has a chance to be a damn good race with a lot of even talent. Its a Win/Win AP taking a victory lap at Monmouth in a grade 1 major race and the crowd will be rocking since its there one big event its a much more lively crowd, and a great wide open Travers race... The Haskell usually gets the big time horse. Bayern, Rachel, Big Brown, Point Given, Lookin At Lucky, War Emblem, ... etc. its really nothing new. I kinda think NYRA and people like Francesa push the Travers WWF style but the Haskell always gets the big time horse. Kinda snobbish by the pro Travers media people if you ask me... The Travers is no bigger a race then the Haskell its just not. Maybe in 1930, 1950, 1970, and 1980 but not in this Millenium... The people putting together the Haskell have kicked the snot out of the NYRA crowd putting together the Travers this Millenium.... and kudos to them.
