I think I read some place that you need a special pass to get into the White House Press Briefing Room. That would suggest that it is not a public place.

There are 44 seats in that room. I think there is a pool near that area put

in by FDR.

Is it a public pool?

Actually, the pool was covered over and the Briefing Room is where the pool used to be.

Don't tell Trump that.
He's bound to put in trap doors on the floor
triggered by an ejector button at his podium.

I wouldn't trust anything about that room to begin with. The conversion was under the direction of Tricky Dicky.

Acosta is a jerk. How sad that CNN bullied their way into getting him back in the press room, after his poor behavior caused this mess in the first place.

I was under the impression that was were the press pool was located.

Tricky Dick covered it over but I was told ( wasn't there of course ) that you

could see remnants of the pool somewhere there ?

This was an early Xmas present for CNN. Acosta got to play the role of victim of the big bully Trump, and CNN got to play David who brought down Goliath in the form of The Donald.

And they (CNN) will be hated all the more for it by, at least, half of the country. They'll find out soon enough, when they see their ratings drop even lower. Is there anyone who doesn't think Acosta is a jerk and has been one for quite a while, long before this incident?...turd on the cake!

And now post-court decision, Acosta can get to play the role he cherishes the most: The Turd of the press corps who Trump could put in the spotlight at every briefing if he puts the Turd on iggy. Just because someone is in the room, doesn't mean the President has to acknowledge that person. I don't believe the decision regulated the President's free choice on who he acknowledges and who he doesn't.

It is the rule around here.

At least half the country does not know or care about what is happening with CNN and Acosta. And I'd guess that about half the people who do know and care think that Acosta is a good journalist.
