Patrick Biancone

In the link from CJ on drugs in racing the writer mentioned that Biancone was
barred from Hong Kong for using illegal drugs on his horses. Does anyone know
about that charge? Its been on my mind because i always thought of him as a
stand up trainer.

Tabor, with his well-bred and expensive young horses, has been Biancone's primary benefactor since the trainer came to the United States following an eventful tenure in Hong Kong. Biancone twice won the Hong Kong Derby, but departed in 1999 after being given a 10-month suspension when three of his horses tested positive for the American racing equivalent of Class 3 drugs. The suspension ultimately was waived in the U.S.

If you cheat in honk kong you probably are going to bend the rules where drug use is widely accepted.

I once saw this horse he brought to hollywood fall, one work, it was like 4 furlongs and 52, horse won by 9. Every since then I have not been sold he is on the level, and that was before I found out about the hong kong thing.
