Yup. I also don't believe the gate was part of what they were sharing with connections. I think it was TV revenue and a piece of the handle/takeout for the race.

And there is no way they will ever publish the handle part as it would open a can of worms they do not want to have to explain after people do some pretty simple math.

That isn't what I said, I thought I was pretty clear in what the change was in the post you quoted.

Instead of chewing the cud like a cow with a mouth full. It’s this simple for the connections of the top horses to make the decision. If you are willing to take the time and effort of shipping..... 20 million is 17 million more than 3 million. And in these times most people are not going to run in both with the Turn around and shipping involved. Simple, who cares about weighing that goofy buy in fee and all the other crap? Basically, Stronach and Gulfstream just got their lunch money stolen in the school yard. For me, it’s about time they are on the receiving side for once. The Saudis are bad news IMO but no one else seems to care, so why should horse racing?

The Pegasus is shaping up to be a good race with horses starting to enter with the defection of others and the fee being dropped. A piece of $3 million is not bad for those who would not think of shipping and running in Dubai. If Stronach was smart they would send their horses over to Dubai and try to take the Saudi's money.

So Max Security is committed to running in this spot? Thought I read that after the last race.

I wouldn’t send a horse to either Saudi or Dubai. I’d rather my horse have a full year here is the top reason. Politics is the second reason. I have less than zero desire to visit either country (and a painfully long flight to do so) is the third.
I wish West would stay here and support American racing. Everyone wants to see a matchup between Max and Omaha.

I'm not blaming anyone, and people can do what they want with their horses, but it's disappointing that Omaha Beach and Maximum Security will never get a chance to meet.

I agree, though I'm pretty sure Maximum Security would whip him.
