I said to someone a few weeks back, that Good Magic may have been a super serious horse had he not come around the same year as Justify.

He had the skill and guts to look an honest Triple Crown winner in the eye twice during both of the first two legs, and ran his arse off!

My gut says he could have been a major contender at all the major 3 year old races except maybe the Belmont. Time will tell how history grades this great horse.

Omaha only started 4 times in Europe (all in England) with a record of 4-2-2-0. He won his first two starts in prep-type races, then got nostrilized in the Ascot Gold Cup at 2 1/2 miles and edged again by a neck in the Princess of Wales's Stakes. Injury forced him to retire.

GM needed to be in all three races to be a horse’s Alydar.
