Selections for Del Mar. Just listing ONE HORSE for each race with a couple reasons why I like the runner. I'm going to attempt to pick one runner and track my results for every race of the meet. The picks for Thursday:
Race -1 The
Owns the highest last out Bris figure for Hollendorfer. Love the turn back to 6.5 furlong today. Is a winner at this distance over this surface. Looks tough.
Race -2 The
Drops in class for Dollase today. The race 2 back against better would win this. Owns the highest Bris figure of the field at this distance and Talamo stays for the ride.
Race -3 The
Nakatani and Stute team up at 6-1 on the turf course today. Should love the stretch out to the mile today. Price is right.
Race -4 The
Speed and fade as the chalk in 1st try at this level last out. Sadler hitting at 19% off the loss as the favorite. Graduation time today.
Race -5 The
. 2nd off the claim for a 27% trainer angle. Red hot Bejarano stays after the slow start run in last. 6-1 feels like a great price here.
Race -6 The
. Lost all chance in the debut run when rearing at the start. Showed some run to finish 2nd to a runaway winner. I'll take a chance here at 5-1 on the ML.
Race -7 The
Ran a solid 3rd 1st off the long layoff and should be tighter for this run. Has stalked and won going 5f which is perfect for this turf course. Bejarano on another live one.
Race -8 The
Takes the big drop in class from MWS into Mdn claiming today for a 29% trainer move. Last 3 workouts have been solid and Gary Stevens takes the mount today. I'll get out at 8-1 on the ML.
