Ain't that the truth! I can honestly state...with no hesitation, I lost my @$$ this meet. To save my sanity and bank, I quit mid-stream. Heck of it is...this Belmont meet was our best meet last year.

Just one of those things the Racing Gods do when you start showing and feeling some genuine confidence.

Start of the meet--I was licking my chops and wondering how high to start off on a prime bet.

*that is a nice avatar, RR....debating when to break out "the colors"

I think I went 2 for 50 beginning at the end of AQU inner and threw in the towel on Belmont except to watch. The bad news is that I can't remember the last time that I did any good at Saratoga.

2-1 or higher would be great on indycott in the first race

While he can win, why would you want to take a short price on a horse like him?

Are Dubb-Imperio/Scuderi employing teamwork here, or is it a friendly competition?

Is River Date going to be Indycott's rabbit?

I was kind of looking forward to kicking things off with a big swing at 15-1 M/L Flash Trading. I boot up the feed and see 5-1 with just one scratch. Say what? Now I may have to take 8-1 on Pratareoeoro.

Rich Daddy scratched.

Hurts the odds even more on Indycott. 2-1 is a moot point.
Also moves Praetereo a post closer to the rail - which is a big deal at this config.
I personally feel Praetereo is a reach from any post, but I can see the attraction.
My big question here is still River Date. If Core Portfolio throws in the towel early once again, It could get pretty soft up front. River Date is an oft-claimed, former Rudy. It's not like this is some move-up project. But, this race does kind of call for winning effort, rather than a rabbit.... If players are going to burn money on horses like the 2 Flash Trading, River Date isn't the worst horse to pair-up with the chalk Indycott.

I have a TON of respect for the job Travis does and I could never do it, but that was a bad ML.

I wasn't really sure. When I first looked at the race, he seemed like he needed to be in that 8-1 area. Probably because I tend to look for those good SAR races from the past right off the bat. But, then you can imagine both Indycott and River Date getting hit hard and with Flash Trading sketchy current form - I could see where he's 12 or 15-1. I have to admit it was pretty tough coming with anything resembling a line for me.

Nice way to start the meet

Collmus was a lot better when he wasn't screaming so much.

Hopefully it was just the excitement of it being the first race of the year at the Spa. Cool it a little, Larry.

Uh oh you are in trouble, I was about to come with a post explaining how I like this one almost by default here in this field of not-a-whole-lot.

$20 horse that hasn't proven she can't run much at all like pretty much everyone that has run.
