Except for the Super Bowl,I don't recall any NFL game where the anthem is played on television. They always do the pregame show while that occurs.

New ESPN president Jimmy Pitaro told reporters Friday that the network does not plan to televise the national anthem as part of its Monday Night Football broadcasts this season.

Pitaro, who was hired March 5 following the abrupt departure of John Skipper, told reporters at a media event on ESPN's campus in Bristol, Conn., that the network has not previously shown the national anthem during its Monday Night Football broadcasts and does not have plans to change — at least, not in the immediate future

Now this was something I didn't think the NFL did anymore, except for the Super Bowl. But they apparently do.And I'm old enough to remember when the networks would televise it as it occured.

ESPN has sucked for years. Liberal or conservative.

ESPN - those idiots they have in the booth!
Total IQ of about 9 for the whole team.
If the game is worth watching you don't need anyone talking about it while it is on. Especially idiots.

The more people learn about far left progressives the better. So I'll keep stirring.

But I take you have no problem with shit stirrers from the left, which is a lot more common around here.

This is a surprise. I thought ESPN lived for the moment after the anthem when they could spotlight all of the brave social justice warriors kneeling with fist raised. Take that whitey!

This would be an example of ESPN actually trying to keep politics out of sports.

Can't win to lose though I guess.

He mentioned you in a play, too.

Opinions among the kneeling seem to vary as to why they're even protesting. They can't seem to all agree though the term "oppression" is a popular excuse.
Its all such bullshit its amazing people really take them seriously. Personally I think they simply enjoy the attention. Individually they probably get little on the field.

Just curious...do you pull over in your car, get out and kneel every time you pass an American flag? I truly wouldn't be surprised if you said you did. You seem so wired that way.
