I'm kind of hoping Max comes home for the 7 furlong stake on Derby Day and onto the Met Mile.
Would love, though, to see him go up against Mr. Freeze after that monster run today.
2020 is looking like it might be a very good yer of racing.

Think they would take 16,000 for him now?

There must of been a sale, he wasn't in the West's pink and black diamonds silks for the race?

Never been much of that around here for this horse.
In the meantime, Maximum Security keeps finding the winner's circle.
Unless, of course, he gets taken down due to pilot error when clearly best.

It’s because of the connections, IMO. Always has been, and it’s a shame.
This horse is a warrior.

West sells before something good happens every time! Sold New Years Day to South American's and then they sold to Japan!

It’s not just the connections , although that’s part of it. You read the comments for the last 10 months or so. He’s a claimer , he can’t run straight cause he got dq’ed in the biggest race. A race where I sort of believe he got spooked and was a little green . The horse is a warrior, line thru the dq, line thru the stumble start and this is a horse that wins every time and has pretty much been best even when the win was denied. Look at the rest of his generation. No one is close to what this horse accomplished. After yesterday, you won’t hear much but crickets from the critics. He didn’t even take hold of that track really good and made Mucho Gusto look like a plow horse. He was wide the entire way, working hard and still pulled away late..... who cares about the connections? That horse is all world now....
The naysayers just got a nice slice of humble pie yesterday, but for crying out loud there’s not many that would of beat his last three races. Monster

There's been no reason to be critical of MS performance on the race track , since pretty much day 1
Anyone who was , you can just draw a line through them going forward. Clueless.
The connections thing, well, you could say that about quite a few horses in the last 20 years.

Horse is tough and tenacious and knows his job. Not specific to this horse, but he is definitely one of the tougher horses I've seen in some time, in terms of not letting horses pass him in the stretch. You saw this particularly in the Derby and the Haskell (esp. when Mucho Gusto comes on the outside at the top of the stretch). I didn't think he was going to win yesterday even at mid-stretch, then he had to dodge MG who was bobbing and weaving and then re-accelerate in order to beat the horse coming up the rail. He just appears to be a really game horse in addition to the physical talent... def an admirable trait.

Can't say enough about Maximum Security (except I want the winnings I should have collected in the Derby!). But speaking of "the horse coming up the rail", big props to the filly for successfully competing vs the colts. She was still running and coming on fast at the end.

What’s next ? Paid workout in the Ben Ali next month at Keeneland to get him familiar with the track? Then maybe a Whitney, Woodward, breeders cup? Or do you try the met mile and go from there ? One race at a time or plan a campaign?

He's a fine horse, but I have to admit that after reading your post my main thought is that I don't know what the hell you're talking about with these alleged critics of the horse. Where are they? They're not on this site. Every time the horse runs I hear people whine about the Derby DQ from now 10 months ago, but from what I read everyone on the Internet is a member of the Maximum Security fan club. Who are all these critics and naysayers? I swear some of you must live in a bubble somewhere.

Coolmore now is co-owner of Maximum Security, and will share
in any future racing proceeds and Breeding rights.
This purchase should highlight the accomplishments of this
Eclipse award winner as the top three year old in 2019.
The fact that MS could have been claimed for 16k also signals the
reason why many owners and breeders continue to remain in this game
