It's right in DRF, wrong in Brisnet. Hopefully they will correct it.

Do we get a discount on PPs now that the data is LESS accurate?
Some tell the idiot who made this descision that it is a TRACK code, not a MEETING code.
Can ANYONE give a single reason how this MORONIC decision helps the CUSTOMERS?
f**** Baqueduct and the nw2l nag it rode in on.

They did later on.
There's an inconsistent history on this. For instance, "Bmf" was adopted back in the 1960's or 1970's for the "Bay Meadows Fair", even though it was run at the same track as "BM" (Bay Meadows). But OTOH, it wasn't until (I think) the 2000's that the Racing Form used "SAO" rather than "SA" for the fall meeting at Santa Anita, and then eventually they went back to "SA"!
I don't really understand why the Racing Form doesn't just push back on this, and say it's their publication and they will use standard track abbreviations and will not change them for different meets. I am sure it is what their readers want.

When they did, it was 'OSA'

There was OTP for Oak Tree Pleasanton as well. I've seen OTD for Oak Tree Del Mar in some track code tables., but I don't remember it ever being used in actual practice.

Don’t pull a Gulfstream. Please.

I feel the same way. I'm not a fan of the synthetic surface either, and I don't plan on playing the NY circuit when it gets installed. To each their own though... I can't stand those races.

So there a long history of idiocy.
Status quo for racing, the idiots who copuldn't agree on common saddle cloth colors.
When I was using HTR, I made a simple change in my db to use "SA OR osa"
to get the two tracks together. Why can't that be done in the PPs?
For record at the track, "AQU OR BAQ?"
I SAY AGAIN, it is the same GD TRACK!!!
And there has plenty of time for the people involved to have figured it out, like people who work in the real world do every day in their real jobs.
Puh-thetic!

If they move the Met Mile to Memorial Day, will they call it the Met on Memorial Day, the MOM Mile?

Yes, because TVG talks about her like she's still running, but to be fair, they only talk about her when they're not talking about California Chrome

Zenyatta and California Chrome were good for racing!
Compare them to Flightline, who is wonderful but never runs, Arrogate, who was wonderful but only ran 4 great races, American Pharoah, who won the TC but only ran 3 times thereafter, and Justify, who won the TC and never ran again.
You don't have to think Zenyatta and CC were the greatest horses ever, but the fact that they had long careers, ran frequently, and developed fanbases was good for the sport.
