What they need to do is tell Los Al that if they want to collect fair takeout, they need to put on a fair.
Buying the dates from a fair isn't the same thing.

So they are finally admitting that Los Al is a joke of a track featuring garbage racing.
Truth in advertising.
When do they fess up that Del MAr is the same level?

After the first 2 days the handle appears to be up significantly. If this keeps up, all of the California tracks may want to charge fair rates. Speaking of fairs, in Maryland ,the fair actually has a lower takeout rate than the " Big " tracks.

The reason its up is the fields have been much larger lately in socal, not sure why suddenly horsemen are running their horses but its having a positive affect.

Admittedly, I only watched three races yesterday, but field size was 4, 5 and 6. How up can field size be at Los Al?

Last year was worse. CHRIMS reports not up yet. Will have the reports when they are available. There is no official boycott but I am certainly one who won't bet a nickel.

I didn't say how can it be up, I asked how up it can be.

Down close to 100K from last year on day 1. If field size is up significantly which it may be they should do OK for the meet.

that may be fair, i did not look at the cards and only saw an article on drf that large fields await pick 6 players, so maybe its just the economy.

I'm dead wrong about handle being up. I'll leave the facts to Andy Asaro, who obviously knows a lot more about these things than I do.

Not really. Click this link and you can run them yourself whenever you want to. CHRIMS is normally finished between 10am and 12pm west coast time the next day. They are accurate to the penny.

BTW this is one of the things we got from the boycott in 2011.
