Things like this are a direct consequence of not confronting them the last couple of years. Takeout hike on the way after this meet. Also heard they're thinking about rollling super hi fives cuz just like Gulfstream the biggest bettors want it to they can scoop the pots.

The rolling super high 5 with carryover, albeit expensive is a really good bet at times. I would love for socal to bring that in. You don't have to bet every race, pick your spots. The value in carryover situations is ridiculous at times. Personally would rather see a high 5 in every race (with 8 horses or more) with no carryover and 20 cent minimum and say a 15% takeout. Would not get the value, but it would be a lot more fun for smaller bettors

Regarding calracing cares. If genuine that is a good thing. If not then they are marketing. The web site has nothing to do with the customer. It is addressing concerns about the well being of it's horses (which does address the customers who care). Not sure what the problem is here.

Regarding takeout hike, let's hope not.

It's looks like a small attempt to clearly layout the systems in place to ensure horses safety. Like if Joe Public did a google search this gives him somewhere to read about safety measures.

Why on gods green earth would you expect this to have anything todo with the "customer" or the takeout?

I hear they are planning on working horses and possibly feeding them tomorrow morning without even kissing any customers asses, better go get the lowdown on that too...

You know there is that old saying, about the customer being able to fire everyone in the joint by simply taking their business elsewhere. Just sayin...

I agree with others. Tweeting about this doesn't help your cause or credibility. If any living being gets the short straw in racing, it's the horses, so don't begrudge attempts to improve their safety.

Not everything I tweet or say helps my cause. As far as my credibility goes some like what I do and some don't. Several years ago there was a rival group trying to decertify the TOC and they came really close. One of the things they did do was call to find out what Customers wanted and agreed to put in on their website and make it part of their platform. There has NEVER been anything close to the statements on this website or any website showing concern for the Customers. I agree that the statements about caring for horses is good.
