I didn't see the race, but I just looked at the chart. The two horses that were pulled up are already reported as euthanized on the NYS breakdown database.
Tough way to end a meet.

In order to fill the closing day card they allowed unsound horses to run?

Seems like they struggled with this meet. I remember hearing a new casino is opening in close proximity to this place. If that happens I wonder how much longer they can hold on. Certainly not good for FL, but also for all of NY racing

Largo Casino opens in a week or two.
FL future looks bleak last I heard.
Talk was this might the last year...?
Another STUPID idea from the Albany morons.

Trying to hear Dave Mattice is even more difficult. This has been a problem for a long time, and someone on FL's end needs to pump up the volume..

The above posts are from last year. Not only has the problem not been fixed, I think it's even worse this year..

to Legal Tendora, an 11yo gelding who broke down in the 4th race today at Finger Lakes.
Legal Tendora made 118 starts in his career, every one at Finger Lakes, and every one (except his very first) a claiming race.
It just guts me when these old timers who have given their lives to racing, literally give their life to racing.

I always wonder about this. I mean, 11 year olds win plenty and often are proven very sound. That is how they are racing at 11, particularly over 100 times. His form looked decent enough.
I scanned his PPs and he mostly ran 60 and 70s on the TFUS Speed Figure scale. He had a few 80s and some low 90s at one point, but was still running steady 70s. I don't know the answer, but in a sport struggling with field size it is tough to advocate retiring horses because of age, especially proven warriors like this one.

We have had gorse running and winning at 15 at the Thumb.
Sagey, a crowd favorite retired with 50 wins. Won his 50th on his lat race. Force to retire due to age or he might have won 100.
There are also horses there who should retire at 4.

Sat down to watch a couple races at FL today (the meet ends next week), and the streaming player is gone from the page. I just used it a couple days ago, so I don't know what the deal is..
Tried on multiple devices, so that's not the issue. The player should be on this page, but now there's just a blank space. Can anyone see the player?

I was alerted of the issue very early on the Wednesday card. I promptly contacted the video department and advised them to let IT be aware of the problem. I went to our website after the races to check it out for myself only to be disappointed to see that the problem still existed. I'll keep after them and hopefully we will have it fixed ASAP. Happy Thanksgiving to all at Pace Advantage.
