Is our children learning?

A scary poll of college students regarding free speech.

Asked if the 1st Amendment protected "hate" speech, 44% said no, 39% said yes, and 16% did know.

Asked if it was acceptable for students to shout down a speaker at a public university if they did not agree with what he said, 51% said yes. Nineteen percent it was acceptable to use violence to prevent the speaker from speaking.

Look at the bright side: At least the numbers aren't reversed.

Most teachers in schools at all levels these days spew liberal rhetoric, considering that those numbers are not surprising. Most liberals only believe in freedom of speech if they agree with it.

Remember: Just because there is free speech, that doesn't mean that you have the right to falsely yell, "Theater!" in a crowded fire.

All rights, whether specifically listed in the Bill of Rights or otherwise, are limited to the extent that they can't infringe on the rights of others. This lame old turkey of an example ignores the facts that yelling fire infringes on the property rights of the owner and on the rights to personal safety and life of the other patrons.

If "hate speech" is taking place with the consent of the property owner and does not violate any law, any attempt to stop it is a violation of rights, including the right to free speech.

Today's college are nothing more than Hitler Youth mills in many cases. Programming over education. When do they hold their nightie parades?

Berkley - I would call in air strikes on that garbage heap if I were Trump. Nothing of any value would be lost.
