Disingenuous Trend in Racing -Picking Your Pockets

I've commented on this before, but there is clear yet very disingenuous trend in racing to hoodwink players into jumping into unplayable race cards that they have no business to participate.

I am was comparing last year's Penn Derby card with this years offering and immediately noticed that Pick-4 now consists of races 9-12, which includes a convoluted Optional Allowance race with more conditions than one can store in short-term memory to figure out. In contrast last year Pick 4 consisted of races 8-11, which included all Stake races.

I can surmise that the only reason why racing secretaries would do that is to juice up Pick 4 payoffs. But whom does this benefit? It certainly does not benefit the general public nor casual players!!!

There are already too many Navarros and Gindis in racing picking your pockets.

There is one solution and it may be one you don't want to hear, but don't bet that Pic 4. Bet the Pic 3 with the stakes instead. Unless you normally play the Parx circuit, why try to decipher the convoluted allowance race?

I knew it, we are victims. Clearly we are not intelligent enough to refrain from betting or to bet elsewhere where bets are more suitable to our needs.

How does a track go about benefiting the general public or casual players?

The Pick-4 will now be offered on races 8-11, making this a really good betting sequence.

I am unsure of what happened, but the track made a very good decision to change their Pick-4.
