Schumer and the Dems shot themselves in the foot on this one. If they had not tried to filibuster Gorsuch, who was a lot less objectionable to them than Kavanaugh, McConnell would not have taken the nuclear option on Gorsuch. The Dems opposition to Kavanaugh would then be much more credible, and could have led to bipartisan compromise early on.

The democrats have used judicial activism for years to circumvent the Constitution. Anyone that thinks this nomination would have been handled any differently by the democrats must be sipping a little Kool-Aide or a fringe snowflake.
Special K replaced Kennedy, a swing vote. Gorsuch replaced Scalia a dyed in the wool conservative.

I hope Democrats are proud of what they left in their wake. We now have victims of rape and assault that believe we have a rapist on the Supreme Court. I would have to imagine that is a pretty terrible place to be.
This isn't lying about keeping your health insurance.

What the Democrat Senators did was not about protecting Ford.
They used her as a tool, a means to an end.
It was about destroying Kavanaugh to destroy Trump.
It was about revenge for Merrick Garland.
It was about seeking votes from a sector of angry women in America.
But more than anything it was about a craving for POWER.
Unfortunately those Democrat Senators have given fuel to the absurd belief:
"All accusers must be believed!"
Research has shown that between 10 to 40 % of sexual assault claims prove to be false accusations. Women are human and they can lie too.
But the behavior of those Democrat Senators has shown that they put their weight behind the idea that:
"If you are charged, you are guilty."
They've contributed to the DEATH OF DUE PROCESS IN AMERICA!
