Jesus... he made all of you dumber.

Tell me you don't understand the problem without telling me you don't understand the problem.

This is why Trump was a useful idiot or asset or whatever...

What's really dumb is thinking what is happening now is good for the USA

And please...fuck off already with your bullshit.

Trump's shtick was to push other NATO members to pay more (their "fair share") to offset the US burden of funding.

Tell me that's false. Go ahead. Tell me how I have it all wrong.

That's wrong.

You keep doubling down without even knowing what you're talking about.

Making my point every time you hit reply.

Oh, look what NATO secretary Jens Stoltenberg said in 2019:

https://www.defensenews.com/congress...ention-speech/

Quote:
And Stoltenberg has given Trump some credit for Canada and European allies adding $130 billion to their defense budgets, on the way to $400 billion by 2024.

President Trump has been very clear,” Stoltenberg told Fox News in 2019. “He is committed to NATO. He stated that clearly just a few days ago and also at the NATO summit in July. But at the same time, he has clearly stated that NATO allies need to invest more. And therefore at the summit in July last year, we agreed to do more to step up ― and now we see the results.”

“By the end of next year, NATO allies will add hundred – 100 billion extra U.S. dollars toward defense. So we see some real money and some real results. And we see that the clear message from President Donald Trump is having an impact.
In 2019, ol' Jens said Trump was committed to NATO...interesting...all sorts of narratives crumbling...

More good news for the US and NATO:

https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/14/polit...ine/index.html

Quote:
The US has information suggesting China has expressed some openness to providing Russia with requested military and financial assistance as part of its war on Ukraine, a Western official and a US diplomat told CNN, and is conveying what it knows to its NATO allies.

It is not yet clear whether China intends to provide Russia with that assistance, US officials familiar with the intelligence tell CNN. But during an intense, seven-hour meeting in Rome, a top aide to President Joe Biden warned his Chinese counterpart of "potential implications and consequences" for China should support for Russia be forthcoming, a senior administration official said.

I see you quoting something but the post you made before means you don't understand it.

It's okay.

Neither did Trump.

It's a matter of a few more weeks before all this ends.

Even with backdoor help from the CCP, the conflict is costing Russia over $20 billion a day. Putin may in fact have trouble sustaining this effort but don't think for a second he's losing. believe whatever you want but he has won this.

Don't let the GOP warmongers and corporate media fools convince you otherwise. Same goes for Lindsey Graham and cowardly Mitt Romney.

So, who really cares if silly Zoom is no longer available in Moscow or the total destruction of the ruble comes to fruition. Only Russian deplorables are hurt by that heinous act of war by Wall Street and the international banking cartels. The peasants will go starving while those in the EU and NATO elites simply say: 'Pass the cigars and French brandy."

How does this finally play out? It happens like this.

In western and northern Ukraine Putin creates a "friendlier" form of government similar to what the Nazis did after conquering France in 1940. He will create a Vichy-like government.

In eastern and south Ukraine Putin creates a satellite state similar to the old USSR satellite states, which was always his intention to accomplish. But here in the south and east, an insurgency of high order could eventually happen. Putin could have a tough time maintaining this over time. Time will tell, as it usually does.

Volo Zelenskyy? Well, as I said in an earlier post, his days are numbered.

Zelenskyy has rattled the cage and has poked the Russian bear in the eye way too many times to survive this. His time to pay will come. A true hero to his people who was dealt a bad hand and who was betrayed by those in the USA and NATO.

Bookmarked this for later use.

The gripe had nothing to do with NATO spending. That is set at every conference. The US always pays more than others since we are the linchpin of the alliance. We have tech, logistical, and communication support other nations would never need to develop anyway and it would be redundant.

That wasn't the issue.

The issue was 2% GDP domestic defense spending by other members. Most nations were close with Germany always the poster child of the bad member.

Trump, Obama, and Bush all pressured members to fulfill their obligations. It wasn't unique to Trump... they all did it and failed.

What Trump did that was different was make a complete ass out of himself, call the alliance obsolete, and repeatedly weakened us with our western allies at every turn.

His former NSA and DefSec have said he intended to withdraw if re-elected.
