Knife Control in London
Apparently in a country with strict gun controls, criminals are making do quite nicely with knives, the year-to-date murder total being higher than NYC's (at least as of Monday).
The mayor, Sadiq Khan, in full authoritarian mode:
"No excuses: there is never a reason to carry a knife. Anyone who does will be caught, and they will feel the full force of the law."
Like most Southern males, I suppose, I've carried a pocketknife since about age 8. And I use one several times in a typical day.

London is having 7-15 stabbings daily. If they take away knives, the muggers/thieves will find something else like baseball (or cricket) bats.
