That's a wrap
7 AM Train to Manhattan tomorrow. This is done.
Thank you PA and any members that enjoyed it. Old suffie boy is tired. I crushed this town and its racetrack for 8 days. I probably slept 20 hours all week & lost 10 pounds walking.
Thank you Saratoga Springs & NYRA and also Suffolk Downs where I learned how to do this shit. Out.

Enjoyed your posts. Good job. I'm on the flight now to the north east and will arrive at the Spa later today. Will keep the PA presence going. Looks like it will be a hot one this weekend where the temps will be more than where I'm coming from, central florida. I'm not a picnic table person , will be in the clubhouse the next few weeks. Should be a good Jim Dandy with Tacitus, Tax, War of Will and Code of Honor..

Parx, Laurel, and Delaware already cancelled for this weekend due to extreme heat forecasts. Heat indexes of 110 forecast for Saratoga Springs Friday and Saturday, will they follow suit?
Last heat-related cancellation of the day's card was 2006..

Put the horses first and get your act together! This is Saratoga!Let's Go.
today's card is barely passable as a card, due to the rain... hopefully we get some good racing-weather
also frustrating when you have a race like the 9th today, which was a barely-playable -horse field to start out with, but at least it's on the dirt and at a route , which makes it somewhat interesting... Yet, two of the seven entrants scratch?? Bad luck with health or they are picking spots/don't like the off-track? either way... now an unplayable five horse field
the 4th Stayed ON turf but it wasn't really a horse field to begin with... it was a shitty horse field w/ 3 MTOS...
the 8th Stayed ON the turf and is the best/only playable race of the card.

On a positive not want to root for HOFBURG today as a fan. Coming back at 4 and coming up next in this carding/scratching reduced field of five.
He looked like a great bet-against, at 6/5 or whatever, but it's not really worth doing here, today.
Next best option is to cheer him on. He could genuinely be a nice older horse, and even if he isn't, an impressive win here may set up another wager.
Go Hofburg #be positive

Spa cancelled Saturday's card as well.
The entire card will be run on Sunday.

A separate thread had announced earlier Spa cancelling the races for Saturday. I just noticed it now. Sorry about that.

Track was closed yesterday, no problem. Went up to Lake George and played my wife a round-the-world of mini golf.
Today, Sunday, I'm going to play rolling pick 3s. The 1st race is a jumper so I'm going to skip that.
R2: 3,5,6 w 2,4,9 w 1
R3: 2,4,9 w 1 w 2,5,7
R4: 1 w 2,5,7 w 1,6,8,15
R5: 2,5,7 w 1,6,8,15 w 10
R6: 1,6,8,15 w 10 w 2,6,10

Normally speed like this gets swallowed up at the SPA. But occasionally, some years it holds. Pay close attention to races 3 and 6.
