Most handicappers have read the same books and use similar information. They look at the same things in the same ways. As a result they come up with the same contenders. I like Brad Thomas because he looks at things in different ways and comes up with solid horses that the typical handicapper won't find.

who is the best public handicapper = Andy Serling , NYRA

who is the best handicapr =
It's difficult to name a 'best'.

There's a 'ten best'. There's a metaphorical 'table'.

Everyone has different competences...
The racing product itself can be significantly different. These guys are in different countries...

I would like to identify the best handicapper of Paceadvantage...but modesty prevents me from doing so.

Lying would also prevent you from doing so...You're the modest, honest type...

Chris Longshot

He is on this very board.

THE most amazing day in day out 'capper I've ever seen, watched, or heard of in my lifetime.

I work my ass off to find a couple of winners on any card to make a profit.

CL brings home shots I can never see on any card he fires. I consider myself as open-minded and longshot oriented as any 'capper on this planet, but he is always better.

Following CL’s posts on his long shots thread has made me a better handicapper for sure. Going back and looking at the pps for his big price selections that hit has helped me look at races differently and find long shots of my own. None better I’ve found if you’re looking for price horses.

I can't put myself on the list either... I was once a prodigy, but have degenerated into a reclusive schizophrenic, and am living in asylum in Iceland.

To my mind, Gordon Jones was the best Public Handicapper.
