Maybe you're off base in your assessment. Could that be it?

It's not like UKers to vote for outright racism, is it? I mean, Donald Trump is over here, not over there, right? There is only one Donald Trump, right?

Don't like the outcome of a vote? Cry racism. Cry Russia.

Seems to work no matter what side of the pond you live.
Everything I said is true. Do you have any idea of what was said in the campaign? The now exposed outright lies and fearmongering about the cost and immigration. The now exposed financial irregularities. The now exposed links of Arron Banks to Russia and money and the now admitted lies he told about it.

We are in a dire situation. All the economic forecasts are saying we will be far worse off by leaving. We now have a deal with the EU that is unlikely to get through parliament. They have said there is no other deal on the table which means we will leave without a deal which will be a disaster. The government is refusing to publish the legal advice they have had about the deal which parliament has told them to publish and may well be held in contempt of parliament. With the deal unlikely to get passed there will be a vote of no confidence in the government (although that is unlikely to succeed) and a general election forced. More and more calls now for a second referendum.

I'll be in England in July. I love reading the tabloids. I'm sure the Brexit issue will still be ripe.
I'm sure you'll have a good time here, Brexit or no Brexit. Some good racing around then as well.

Why should the EU be soft on us? We decided to leave, they didn't push us out.
If you are a member of a club you pay in and get the benefits. You can't decide to leave and then expect to still get the benefits of membership for free. We need a deal, if we get no deal it will be an absolute disaster.

What is going on now is about far more than how much money we pay them to leave. And, yes we should pay them money we OWE for commitments we have made. If you have a contract then want to get out of it you pay for breaking that contract. If we don't pay money we OWE the ramifications for the future will be enormous.

Whatever, seems stupid to honor obligations to a continent of losers.
How much did Britain get from the rest of Europe for bailing out their asses during WWII? Most of them were speed bumps at best to the Nazis. If I was British, I would call it even.

This 'continent of losers' hold all the cards. Whether we leave or not - and not leaving is now a possibility as calls for a second referendum are growing - we will still have to deal with them on many matters. How will they treat us if we don't pay our debts? If you had a business relationship with someone and they broke it off owing money and didn't pay up how would you treat them in the future? Your comment about WWII is interesting. One of the reasons we have peace in Europe now is because we have come together in union.

Yesterday, for the first time in our history the UK parliament voted to hold the government in contempt of parliament for refusing to publish the legal advice it had from the attorney general regarding May's deal. They have now been forced to publish it and it doesn't look good. Parliament is now having a five day debate on the deal with a vote on it next week. It looks like the government will lose and the deal won't be ratified with both leavers and remainers voting against it. This could bring about a constitutional crisis and could well bring down the government and force a general election. Either that or the possibility of a second referendum. I voted to remain but thought we had to accept the will of the people however close the vote was and however naïve the decision but, now people are more aware of the consequences I am leaning more and more to the side of a second vote. If the vote is the same then we, as a country, deserve everything we get.

What are the benefits of being in this club? It seems many in your country did not see value in these benefits.

I think it is because of the US and GB.
I doubt France is scaring anyone off, and the Netherlands must be sending shivers up Putin's spine.
