Mr. Big News?????
He had a sign pinned to his tail that read...

Baffert just got knocked on his butt in the winner's circle by his horse!

I am a genius. I won $12 on Mr. Big News. Picked him out of a hat. Nobody picked the top two.

Sometimes it's a relief to just get all your money back. Left the track that way many times........at least you still have bankroll to do it all over again.

He only paid $2 less than the winner to show. So, $16-something.
Pretty okay for show.

If someone rubbed lidocaine on your nuts, you would try and knock him down too.

I just want to say NBC coverage was horrible. They spent very little time on the races.
Just let aTVG handle it. They are blabbing about something other than the race and all of sudden they are in the gate.
Horrible

My compliments to anyone who had the 9 in the exotics. I wouldn't have bet him with Monopoly money. He spoiled my trifecta, lol.

Kentucky Derby 2020 ends with massive upset (FULL RACE) | NBC Sports

Yeah, that's the actual headline at Google News and the NBC Sports replay on Youtube.
Somehow I don't think massive upset means what they think it means.

True, Authentic and Honor A. P. both looked like the main rivals to the favorite on paper. Authentic winning was not a huge upset, especially since he's trained by a trainer who has won six Derbies.

Authentic made the final panel the way all of Baffert's stars make the final panel. His horses can get used early and still record solid final quarters. Kind of reminds me of the way Lance Armstrong performed.

I didn’t think he would last but he did. It was a great ride by Johnny using him early and discouraging everyone else then he got him into a nice rhythm. By the time Tiz caught up the race was over . He created some nice space early that the chalk could not overcome. There was plenty left at the end too. Which I didn’t expect. Baffert gave a lot of praise to that ride and it was a crafty, journeyman’s move. He knew exactly how to get the most out of that horse and beat everyone to the punch. To my char grin I knew Tiz was in trouble when he had to be hustled into second position. Authentic is way better than I thought he would be at that distance.

the scratch of the killed most of my bets. He was a key horse for me. I did replace him with Authentic in one exacta so that paid and I had a show on Authentic as well, but this was overall a loss for me.
Honor AP didn't break all that well, but seemed to finish okay. I need to rewatch the race again to see how Max Player did since he was the other I focused more $ on.

Love how some people think a 3 time Derby winning, Hall of Fame jockey needs a drugged horse to win.

A good ride helps. People cannot help but wonder what happened when arguably the worst bred horse for classic distance in the entire field wins by daylight with the fastest time in about 20 years.
