I have to say I really enjoy these 6 race cards. I find that I am enjoying them more, betting more and looking forward to the next day.

Seems like on our big days I am exhausted by the 9th, the feature isnt until the 12th and oh by the way we tacked on 2 allowances in the 13th and 14th.

Ascot has it right.

Handicapping each Royal Ascot race takes a lot of time. Without running lines or speed figures, the only way to do this is watch replays of past races.

Aside from the 30 horse fields, I feel like I have seen most of them run a few times with a quick refresher.

I agree 100% --

And, they manage to do it all in less than 30 min between races..

And they post quick photo finishes..

And take bets as low as a 1$ (on Twinspires at least)

I'm not going to lie, I learned alot this week!

I know most of the horses and trainers (Thanks to my friend Dave who is a wizz at euro racing, he also taught me how to handicap euros).

I lost my dependance on speed figs.

I watch the races on TVG every day available.

and I bet the exchange on euro racing.

1430--Albany S.---18 stillwater cove--drifting odds but very fast

1505--King Edward VII S.---4 Giuseppe Garibaldi---coming on nicely for Obrien

1540--Commonwealth Cup---15 Sioux Nation --Eating O'Brien chalk. Yummy. won last year at Ascot.

1620--Coronation S.---7 Clemmie--Desperately needed last; G1 winner set up for win

1700--Sandringham S.---9 Poetic Charm--Well bred and unexposed; a deadly combination.

1735--Duke of Edinburgh S.---20 Count Calabash--won course/Distance last out; up in weight but still well handicapped.

Just a couple of bets at Ascot for me today.

4.20. I think this is actually quite an open race and at the odds I have gone for Coeur De Beaute at 12/1 each way first three places. She finished a neck second to Teppal last time but is double the odds.

5.35. I like longshots in these and Sir Chauvelin could run a decent race back up in trip from las time. At 40/1 a decent each way bet.

Rough go for me so far today after a good meet so far. 2 to go.

Somehow the itv fashion segments arent nearly as annoying as ours are. #watchmeneighneigh

Well pleased with my selection Sir Chauvelin at 40/1 in the last. If he'd had a better run he may have even have made it very close. Still backed it each way and got to be happy with 1/4 the odds (10/1) for the 2nd place.

15:05—Hardwicke S.—3 Crystal Ocean—hard to look past; tons the best

15:40–Windsor Castle S.—16 North wind—O’Brien bomber has not shown best.

16:20—Diamond jubilee S.—-9 Redkirk Warrior—you can never go home again; Aussie invader won at ascot way back in 2014 under the name redkirk

17:00—wokingham s.——7 Dreamfield—very talented and lightly raced

17:35—queen Alexandra—11 Thomas Hobson—Chalkie ending to a wonderful meet
