PETA Had a Great Thanksgiving Day Feast

'The dinner tables turned': PETA posts cartoon of turkey family preparing to eat a human

https://www.theblaze.com/news/peta-c...keys-eat-human

What a pity that the Peta Pinheads never got God's memo on menu selection for humans.

Gen 9:1-3
9:1 Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. 2 The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. 3 Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

Actually, that's a clever idea for a cartoon!
Irony is funny.

Like, say there are really aliens in flying saucers observing us.
They report back that the planet is run by small, furry creatures who walk on four legs and are often accompanied by a lesser , bi-pedal species that appears to be a worker class that needs to be iven daily exercise and cleans up the biological waste from them.

"Everything that lives and moves will be food for you."

Hardly something one would expect from an ever-loving God.

So you thinking eating animals is sinful?

And what you doing back here? I thought you deep-sixed this place?

I don't think it's appropriate to eat "everything that lives and moves"...do you? You are a cat-lover...NO?

According to the Church, no non-human animal would be able to experience “heaven” as defined.

But hey, who wants to tell people they won’t be spending eternity cuddling up with Rover?

One doesn't need to appeal to the Church, Porchy, to express what she built upon--the metaphysics of Plato onward thru the 18th century. The metaphysical "hierarchy of being" that is common sense and makes the world intelligible, became obscured through materialistic reductionism and the rejection of "essentialism".
Can PETA answer, "Why are species different"? Looking at each metaphysically, we have minerals, plants, animals, man...each with further natural, "essential" powers that distinguish hierarchically. Sentience to brain and instinct, to brain and rationality, to...
PETA is egalitarianism gone wild.

If you believe the Bible has all the answers I know all I need to know.

It's not what I asked you. I asked if it's morally wrong.

And, no, I don't eat feline burgers but I love a good hamburger.

Having said that, it's not morally wrong per se (i.e. sinful) to eat meat. However, I will concede that eating any of the higher animals (nostril-breathing animals with the "breath of life" in them) is not the ideal situation since God never intended, originally, for either man or beats to be carnivores (Gen 1:29-30). But after sin entered the world, God pronounced an 8-fold curse upon the earth, since it would not have been possible for our first parents with their corrupt natures to rule over a perfect creation. This is why every aspect of life here on this fallen planet is characterized by conflict. One of those curses had to do with the animal kingdom (Gen 3:14). The result of this curse was that many animals became carnivores.

Also, I think there is decent biblical evidence to suggest that the higher animals will inhabit the New Earth. Apparently, these animals have souls, albeit not made in the image of God (Ecc 3:21). And there are two end-time prophecies that tell us that animals will be on the new earth (Isa 11:6-9; 65:25). (It's noteworthy that the second passage includes the detail that the beasts will return to their herbivorous state!) Of course, the animals could be just figurative symbols used to teach the universal reign of shalom upon the new creation -- a creation that will be conflict-free, as God originally intended. But I have several additional reasons as well for taking these prophecies at face value.
