Creation of the Fourth Branch of Government

Here is a very interesting, allbeit VERY long, article on how we have quietly reached this position where we now have a fourth branch of government which in essence, supercedes the previous three branches of government. The Constitution with the three main branches of government and their respective checks and balances no longer exists.

The author is Sundance. Of course that is a nom de plume. Sundance is actually Mark Bradman, a Florida resident and owner of the Conservative Treehouse. Bradman is a crackpot even by the crackpot terms of the MAGA right.

That is so true. Here are just a few examples of the stupidity.
1. Obama changed the focus of the Patriot Act to domestic terrorists, when it was meant to focus on foreign terrorists.
That is false. The Patriot Act does not distinguish between foreign and domestic. The oath of office that Senators and Representatives take makes them promise to defend the Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic. While the words “Foreign and domestic” aren’t in the Presidential oath, they are certainly implied.

2. The intelligence services are a separate, superior branch of government.
Also false and downright stupid. The Administrators are nominated by the President and subject to approval by Congress.

3. The Intelligence Services are somehow bypassing the Fourth Amendment by working with Social Media to spy on Americans.
If it’s on social media, it’s in the public domain. You don’t need a warrant to access it.

There are four criminal indictments against Donald Trump.

Four indictments in four jurisdictions, each acting independently. Four trials will determine guilt or innocence.
