havent looked at evd/ded for a while , but did now . no diego saenz . i google jockey diego saenz retires ------nothing ---a lot of aticles from 2021 and before . one from 20212 said he was 33 ( at that time ) . should be mid 40's now . anyone know what happened to him ?

Diego is retired and living in Texas....

Saenz's last mount was October 27, 2021 at Delta Downs. His horse, Diamond Palace, was leading on a sloppy track, stumbled and fell. Saenz went down hard. No follow-up articles that I could find either.

They have stats for North American races on that site. If you look in the charts, it's all his mounts at EvD, DeD, et al.

I clicked on the stat that says last 14 days and it says 1 win in 25 mounts. So maybe it means his last 14 days and not this calendar years last 14 days.

Thanks to you bringing it up, I've learned something about the stats on that site (which I use a LOT for UK/Irish racing)!! Yes, I think you're right about it being HIS last 14 days. I'll be looking a little more carefully when evaluating the hot/cold jock/trainer numbers going forward.
