Derby system using brisnet pace and speed numbers

A few years ago I stumbled across a system using brisnet E2, LP and SP ratings to be used for only the Kentucky Derby only. Has anyone heard of this system and if so do you know where I can find it.

It you do it has probably changed. Most things backfit to past results don't hold up going forward.

Especially being it was Derby only, the sample size must have been quite small.

Systems do not work! Yes, it is true that in the short run you might "discover" a system that seems like a money printing machine but this is nothing more than a back-fitting fallacy that will disappear by the time you try to capitalize on it!

IMHO been serious about the game means the following:

Build your database, design and implement your set of customized speed and pace figures, do your research about handicapping figures, learn how to interpret them and base your betting on them.

Systems and simplified generic views of the game are simply recipes for disaster and nothing more!

Thanks for replying. However, I just asked a simple question. I didn't need a series of lectures on the evils of systems.

I agree with you, all you did was ask a simple question that if you don't know the answer just be quiet. This is a tough group.

Look at it this way, if nobody responded this thread would be dead and buried by now and you'd never get an answer. At least now it is still possible. None of the answers were out of line. Threads drift all the time and the responses were related.

Where did you stumble across this at and what exactly was it?

I'm sure its not the one you previously stumbled upon, but I have my own. I wouldn't call it a system as much as a bris derby winner profile.
I rank the field as to how well they fit this average derby winner profile as a starting point for further analysis. I find it very helpful.
