The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which meaningfully contained Dem gains. That's it. That's the story.

Banking indexes and ETF's are also up even though Maxine Waters is going to thoroughly destroy the banking industry singlehandedly.

The thing the market hates the most is uncertainty. The major result of this election is gridlock for the federal government for the next 2 years. There will be a lot of noise and smoke, but no major changes, no big legislation. Just business as usual.

It will be gridlock if the Dems decide that's their agenda. T will work with them in a heartbeat on certain issues. If Dems really want to be reelected gridlock won't help them do that IMO

A great jumping off point towards Fascism, it seems to me.

Yup, Fascism fueled by mob rule.

All Maxine got was a bigger stage for her screeching. As chair of the House finance committee, she still needs committee approval of any changes, then House passage, and then passage by the GOP Senate and signing by the president.
Some cynics have suggested that Maxine might use her position to investigate the finances of certain public figures, such as The Donald and his friends and family.

Jim Acosta has redefined "disrespectful" and given new meaning to "classless".
Trump has the power to ban this pond scum from ever darkening the threshold of the White House again...and he should.

I don't know how he made it through that. But he did and he overcame the obstruction. The guy just has a gift to fight and overcome his enemies in most cases. Impressive.

Ted did great considering "Beto" raised more money than any senate candidate in history. You can also think of it this way, all that money was wasted and didn't go to dem candidates who may have had a shot.
