Sheesh

For anybody interested...check out the replay of the 7th race from Fair Meadows tonight. I watched it in between Mountaineer races.

The 5 horse cuts off the tiring 6 horse at the top of the stretch, possibly causing the 6 to clip heels. The Stewards do post the Inquiry...and decide to let the result stand.

I don't think I am exaggerating when I say that was AWFUL.

You even write "possibly" in your complaint... Can you make any argument that the incident affected the race outcome? I'm all for fining/suspending the rider of 5 for carelessness in this instance but a DQ of the winner would be wrong. The 6 was to finish 3rd regardless from the point of interference. I haven't seen a head on yet but possible the leader was also starting to get out the way the rider was grabbing, but even with the head on proving the 6 came in it's a hard argument to make that a tiring leader would of fought back that 5-6 lengths he was beaten

I wrote "possibly" in reference to clipping heels because it was hard to tell if the 6 horse actually did clip heels.

It was the 5 who caused the Inquiry...not the 6.

According to your logic...if the 6 went down because of the 5 coming over on him...the 5 should still be left up because he would have then won by the length of the stretch.
