The more that I read about it, Obamacare is far from a job creating program. Ultimately it will work against job creation.

i would say that this health insurance reform will turn out to be a real mess. i have no idea how it can be worked out.

there will be more and more people that will never get full time jobs, if they are lucky they will get 1 part time job. the way this bill was written is that a person that works less than 30 hours a week on one job does not have to pay a penalty for not carrying health insurance. they can have 2 hobs 29 hours each and still not have to carry insurance and will have no penalty.

it all sounds great, but the probabilities of part time workers needing some type of medical attention is about the same as those that have full time jobs that are covered. the people that need attention will run to emergency rooms and not pay.

the health care changes focus in more on prevention than cure.. those people will not have physical's or any other preventive forms of lifestyle choices.

its interesting that most people that have been against health insurance reform are overweight people with pre- existing conditions that could have been prevented by those people just not stuffing their faces with food that is no good for their bodies.

Very, very interesting IRONIC twist to the ACA...big government is going to HAVE to downsize...at least on THE state & local level...

They can't PRINT money outta THIN air...nor can they borrow it AT 1% to THE tune of trillions...

sammy, right now the world trades all forms of commodity's in US dollars. oil, corn, wheat, coal, gas and other things that the world wants and needs. its been this way since 1970.

for over 2000 years the chineese have wanted to takeover and control the world. its is impossible to achive militarily because the end result of that will mean that there will be no world. so they are going at it a different way, they are doing a good job of it economically. in out country we tend to fight each other with stupid things like liberal and conservative agenda's instead of looking right at the biggest problems that are going on outside our borders. we have been fighting unwinable wars, Korea, Viet Nam, Iran, and Afganistan. the Russians knew they couldn't win that war so they ran out of the place in a New York minute.

Obama got elected with the promise of getting us out of Afganistan, 4 years later we are still there. he promised to raise the taxes on the very rich, to even out the playing field. he did such a marginal job of that, the rich people are laughing at him, the only ones that are paying more in taxes are those that can't afford to pay them to start out. while all this is going on morality and trust in the government is going by the wayside. it is making our country weak and making us look like sitting ducks to china.

we got problems that we can't see in front of our noses.

He did get us out of Iraq as promised. He is finally getting us out of Afganistan after he made the mis-step of the surge. If he hadn't made the mistake of listening to the hawk republicans who were pushing the surge, we would have been out of there by now. We will be out by the end of next year, if not sooner.

Health insurance was a real mess before Obama care. In some states your policy wasn't worth the paper it was written on. I know because I found out the hard way. Obama care for all of it faults has made the insurance policies do what they say will do. That has to be major step forward.

they elected Obama because this country had 8 years of Bush before him, why should he listen to the same people that worked overtime to ruin this country to begin with? he prolonged that war, and therefore i rate him in the same league as Bush.

The surge in Iraq is what got us out.
We listened to the chicken heart dems there too long.

Why are we still in Afghanistan today? More people have died in the 5 years of Obama than all 8 years of Bush.

Mis-step? My arse.

This sounds like an interesting story or bit of data. Any chance you got a link to this one? Remember where you read it? Just observation?

He followed Bush's pre announced schedule. But you just keep telling yourself Obama got us out.

Obama has been in office less than 4 years and 1 month. At least get that right.

What do think would have happen in Iraq if McCain had been elected? Do you really think we be out of their now if he had been elected? No way. No how.
If GWB had followed his first schedule, we would have been out in after 9 months. He keep changing schedules so often that there is no reason to believe he would have treated the last one any different from his others. He even landed on an aircraft carrier once in full flight suit to announce the war was over. How many GI were killed and wound after that photo op?
