Tucker referred to the Roman denarius and the Roman empire 's inflation situation. He didn't mention this but the inflation got so bad there, that the government refused to accept their own currency as payment for taxes. I could see that happening here. E.g., "your taxes this year will be the deed to your vacation home!"
