The drone advancements alone that occurred during the Trump Presidency is enough to make Biden want more than his belly rubbed. Any really negative action the Iranians do and are responsible for Biden has new weapons and options that did not exist during the Obama administration. Technology does not stay stuck in a given time for long. Country's like Iran and North Korea are at the precipice of destruction, especially North Korea once it sails nuclear into the pacific. Anyone here who thinks that we need to launch ICBM's if a bad actor gets real stupid and that is our first or only response believes and watches too much television. This is a very exciting time to be in the United States Air Force, they have all the new technology.

If Jimmie Carter had done what he should have done in 1980 we may not be having these problems. Kidnapping diplomats and holding them hostage is an act of war. If Carter had said "Iran you have 24 hours to release the hostages or we send in the B-52's over your oil fields." The truth of that policy was revealed when Reagan was elected and Iran released the hostages. They knew Reagan wasn't going to allow them to keep the hostages without serious consequences.

We have been sparring and fighting with Muslim countries since Thomas Jefferson's day. They won't stop this saber rattling. Killing their top general was a good start. The next time those IRGC small boats harass U.S. Navy ships in open international seas they should blast them out of the water.

Exactly right. I’m shocked we haven’t had a huge attack yet

As much as I am not a James Earl Carter Jr. fan, I will say his CIA was able to get some people out with the help of the Canadians. And I believe every President has the great benefit of the Joint Chiefs and advisors to the President along with real time classified reports that the public does not get to see.

Having said all that I would add in that time period everyone around Carter knew about this guy "Amin al-Husseini and a half a dozen just like him as part of the whys and what if's. This crap goes way back, and leaving well known other names for those who will do the big dig on a subject. So the point is unfair to suggest Carter could have done anything as a fix.

Jimmy Carter was definitely the biggest coward we had as a president, until the current one came along.

I don't know if he was a coward; I think he was, is, simply anti-American.

Our great negotiators have failed so they gave the negotiations over to Biden's friend, they Russians. Only time will tell how many Billions it will cost the USA to help Iran with their worldwide terrorism.

I am not sure who has been getting the translation wrong, but Iran has not been saying 'Death to America'. It is 'Death to Demoncrats'.
