Sin will continue until the end of the age. And when I said "capital punishment", I was referring to temporal and eternal punishment. With respect to the latter, judgment and punishment at the end of the age, which would be eternal death. In fact, the bible calls this the "second death" -- the first being physical death (Rev 2:11, 20:6, etc.). And this second death is eternal condemnation in hell -- eternal separation from the Creator.

I never said they did. That came from LS' sick, twisted mind. And again, all the misery, pain, suffering and death in this world is due to mankind's sin. Etch the following into your mind:

ALL SIN = CAPITAL PUNISHMENT
So if your God is just, and death is his punishment for man's sin, then death is deserved? Because if someone dies in an earthquake and it is not deserved, then it would be unjust, and unjust punishment kind of blows your whole perfect god thing out of the water.

So what you were saying in the earthquake thread, but were too chickenshit to stand behind when called out (typical for you), is that your god caused the earthquake to happen and those people got what they deserved. I'd have a lot more respect for you if you didn't run away from your crazier statements when called out.

But normal human beings don't think like you. Yes, everyone is guilty of personal sin, but that doesn't mean that Christians go around telling everyone who is in a state of misery, pain or suffering that they deserve it. Why? Because as pointed out previously, Christians are just as guilty as everyone else or personal sins. And moreover, Christians truly lament mankind's pitiful condition and are sorrowful over it because by God's grace Christians have been convicted of sin, righteousness and judgment. There's nothing about Man's spiritual/moral condition that gives anyone the right to say that they deserve something when at the same time the figner-pointer would be just as guilty!

The only time anyone might be able to say that someone deserves this, that or some other thing is when someone either willfully put himself into a specific situation or willfully refused to remove himself from one that would result in Harm. All the victims in Japan were "innocent" in this latter regard. They had no control over the natural disaster. For that matter, the 14 people who were shot in North Miami recently also had no control over their situation. They, too, were "innocent" in this respect.

Therefore, there is a sense in which people can be both guilty and innocent. There is universal guilt and condemnation for personal sin; yet, people can also be innocent in terms of specific sinful acts. But because there is universal condemnation to all men because of personal sin, then God is just in decreeing that all men pay the ultimate penalty, which is of death -- and death can strike in numerous ways. This is why the Son of God had to die for the Father's people, even though he was perfectly righteous. He never knew sin, says scripture. But the Penalty for Sin had to be paid.

And I'd have more respect for you if you could think beyond the tip of your nose. It's mind boggling that I have to explain all these things when it is self-evident to most.

A Precursor of Worse Things to Come for Religious Freedom

I have long maintained that one of the next big steps in dividing this country through the vehicle of Identity Politics would come from militant homosexuals -- from those who want to force their views upon the rest of society -- upon those who hold to traditional values. I have predicted that once the government makes aberrant sexual preferences a protected class of citizen, the Church, or more specifically the Evangelical arm of the Church, would come under legal attack. Well, a step was taken recently in this civil rights direction by the EEOC, but this time a specific church in Portland came under unlawful assault.

‘Angry Queers’ smash church windows in Portland

PORTLAND, OREGON, April 26, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) – A homosexual activist group calling itself “Angry Queers” claimed responsibility for smashing nine windows in a church known for teaching traditional sexual morality early Tuesday morning.

“Upon arriving at the church, we discovered nine separate windows had been smashed in with rocks, including two beautiful 100-year-old stained glass windows,” wrote Tim Smith, pastor of the Portland campus of Mars Hill Church. “We estimate the damage to be several thousand dollars.”

The vandals sent an e-mail to local television station KOIN-TV stating they took the action, because “Mars Hill is notoriously anti-gay and anti-woman.”

Church members say they hold to “traditional Bible-based views on homosexuality.”

Isn't it you who wants to force his views upon the rest of society? I don't recall any homosexual group trying to stop "traditional" marriage or trying to prevent a "traditional" couple from adopting, or whatever....

From my perception, homosexuals just want to be accepted as "regular" people with all the same rights and privledges as others in society. You know, kind of like those crazy women and african americans before them!

No. Evangelical Christians don't force their views upon anyone. It's not scriptural. We preach the Good News (Gospel) of Jesus Christ and then it's between God and the hearer of the word after that. We don't go blowing out people's windows or torching their homes or businesses if they don't accept the Gospel. Those who reject the gracious gospel offer will pay the penalty soon enough for all eternity for their bad choice.

We accept them the same way as other human beings -- as SINNERS -- in need of salvation. We do not accept their aberrant sexual behavior -- no more than we would accept the behavior of wife abusers, pedophiles, prostitutes, drug pushers, drug abusers, child pornographers, etc. as being normal. In fact, we don't even consider ourselves to be morally superior to such people because who knows what we would be if it weren't for God graciously intervening in our lives to save us.

P.S. Your analogy stinks, by the way. Behavior doesn't equate to race or gender or ethnicity. Do I need to explain the obvious reason to you?

You seem to be drawing parallels between gays and those whose behavior harms society and specifically those that inflict harm upon children. You seem to be building a list of God's enemies as defined by your prejudices and apparently so far that list includes non-Evangelical Christians, atheists, "militant" bands of roving blacks and now "militant" gays.

Every time I read one of these pathetic posts I thank God the Founders were wise enough to realize the necessity of separation of church and state

You don't read too swell. I'm drawing parallels between homosexuals and all other sinners. And this has nothing to do with my prejudices -- but if you want -- God's "prejudices". Everywhere in the bible, deviant sexual practices (including homosexuality, lesbianism and beastility) are prohibited.

And I'm not building any list of God's enemies. The whole world, save for God's chosen people, is at war with Him. Even you might be impressed by the list of different sins -- chief among them -- the number One Top Pick, which is the first and foremost commandment, according to Christ.

Leviticus 20:13

What happens if we don't buy your definition of SIN as interpreted by you? Or accept this as literal? It would seem this edict should still be in effect.

"If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them."

So here is God's prescription. Do you agree. And if not why not? If you attempt to weasel out all I can say is

You don't read your own bible "too swell"

BTW, stoning witches should still be in effect as well

"A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit,
or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death:
they shall stone them with stones:
their blood shall be upon them."

I am surprised you haven't added all writers of newspaper Astrology columns to your list of folks God would like you to murder and your overall enemies list.

PS: it's me hcap

Your question shows you lack of understanding the interaction between the Old and New testaments. It would take too much time to explain on a forum like this. You really should take time to educate yourself before posing your "gotcha questions.

BTW sin is defined by the Lord of Hosts and not by man.
