Would be curious as too the number of people announcing retirements...baby boomers are starting to come due....which means those jobless claims will fall somewhat...it does SKEW things...

It just goes to show how one person --Donald J. Trump-- could turn around the economic fortunes of the great USA, all in less than 2+ years!

All it took was someone with a record of achievement and success plus the brains and muscle to get the job done. A talent that Clinton, Bush, Obama and the majority of the GOP house members are totally devoid of, even on their best days.

The job numbers are all three. Moving the goalposts to improve the headlines is not "winning", but rather cheating. The "new jobs" numbers haven't even kept up with population growth for years. To counter the propaganda, check out shadow stats, which still shows the real unemployment number above 20%, and note the strange trend over the last 8-9 years.

Dig into the numbers a bit, and for one thing you find the 2.5M health care jobs gained since the ACA passed are for mostly low and mid-level bureaucrats and administrators, intended to goose the employment numbers from .FED. Take a survey, and other than freeloaders, who is paying less for health coverage than they did 8 years ago?

Unless your sons, daughters and grandchildren plan to make a career out of bar-tending or flipping burgers, the future ain't lookin' so hot. The only winning that I see is the elites over the low-information voters...
