I keep seeing these stupid headlines on MSN like:

Republicans lose 4 primaries in SC house!

What a bunch or morons, those Republicans lost to other Republicans,
nothing misleads like liberal news sources.

The actual headline is Four Republican House members lose primaries. Do you understand the difference.

I understood the headline Cliffy. Insulting people constantly doesn't make you look smart, it makes you look pathetic. A know it all ex-mailman, who would have thought there is a real Cliff Clavin.

No! You misrepresented the headlines. The news is not that the Republicans lost. The news is that four sitting members of Congress lost. And in at least one of the cases, they lost because they voted to impeach trump.

That 84% Hispanic demographic is based on the old 34.

You have to be the biggest hypocrite on the planet. Care to discuss what the Illinois legislature did to their maps and what they look like now? Oh and Governor Pritzker lied about not supporting gerrymandered maps but in a shocking move he signed them. Congrats on being personally responsible with your vote for forcing yet another Illinois business to leave the state in Caterpillar. Guess where they are moving to?

many hispanics are not happy with the 'open border' lawlessness of the Biden administration.

In any case Flores will be in Congress about six months. This was an election to fill a vacancy. She faces a different Democrat in November.
you failed to understand this election was to fill a vacant seat and redistricting does not apply until the general election in December.

I don't think Republicans will take over in Jan '23, the Democrats will use the Jan 6 playbook. Republicans will win overwhelmingly this November but the same fraud that happened in 2020 will happen again, only this time the mules will stuff drop boxes for Republicans. The Democrats will investigate this time and will know exactly where to look to find and present the proof. The DOJ will become involved and the elections will be invalidated. The left will not give up power at this point and this is the only way to ensure it, the Great Reset will not be stopped. The United States will become a living hell.

God I hope I'm wrong.

I understand what the election was and I assume you are correct about the redistricting. But, there is a lot going on here which I was not aware of previously.

First, as we know, Texas added two seats in Congress. As we also know there was a redistricting.

Before this special election, there was a primary election for the November election. In that primary, The Democrats selected Vicente Gonzalez, who had been Congressman from the 15th District. Republicans selected Flores. Gonzalez received 2.5 times as many votes as Gonzalez and more than two times as many people voted in the Democratic primary.

About one months after the primary, the incumbent Democratic Congressman from the 34th resigned necessitating a special election. The Democrats, perhaps unwisely, decided to concentrate on November.

Somewhere between 25,000 and 30,000 people voted in the special election. Over 210,000 voted I. The last general election.

Clearly the Democrats did not take this election seriously enough.
