So you're ok with a black man being beaten and chased by whites on the city streets? That video reminded me of the treatment blacks were exposed to in the 50s and 60s in the south. Unacceptable, disgusting, and the racism has to stop
You democrats really haven't changed at all in the past 60 years. This much is clear

So funny how the media has convinced the weak minded that there is only White supremist. There is no such thing in there local of race. Asian supremist, Muslim supremist, Black supremist, Latino supremist. Oh no, only white exist. It is amazing how every election cycle white racism is always brought back up. And the sheep, which we have a few on here, jump on the band wagon and wave the propaganda flag. After the election, these sheep never utter a word about racism. Puppets, complete weak minds

You do? Then go fetch a post where I was cool with hunting down blacks in the street and attacking them.

The left wing has determined that NAMES change MEANING.
"Democratic Socialism" is not "socialism."
"Racists" are defined as white people.
"Protest" is different from "violent protest."
(We only do "protests." If there is violence, then it MUST have been from the right.)
List goes on and on.
Know that I support the fact that we NEED a FUNCTIONAL and SUSTAINABLE liberal party to counteract the conservative party. It is how the system works.
What we have now from the left is neither functional nor sustainable.
That's why the system isn't working.

If the liberal party is "neither functional nor sustainable", then, why doesn't the much superior conservative party dominate the elections and stay in power for 30 years? People say that Obama was a bad president; there would have been no "president Obama" if G.W. Bush wasn't such a colossal failure during his own presidential tenure. People also say that there are too many freeloaders in this country with their hand out for government relief...and this makes it difficult for a Republican to get elected president. But when a lightweight like G.W. Bush can get REELECTED as president...this argument can't be given any credence.
The system isn't working because both our political parties are totally corrupt...and we are too weak to do anything about it. We keep blaming the other party, without realizing that both parties are engaged in the same hypocrisy...and that they are both laughing at us behind closed doors.

Good and logical question.
The current democratic party is not FUNCTIONAL because they do not have answers that will promote the country. In fact, just as in the Obama administration, the party seems to be working to demean and humble our country, relative to the rest of the world.
They always have a Democratic agenda that comes before the the needs of the country.
They promote to incite sabotage with crap like, "He's not my President." Well, yes he is. He was duly elected and SERVES the United States.
The Dems of today are a far cry from the Dems of the Clinton era and before. (While many from the right will not agree, I think Clinton had a good presidency.)
In the past, Democrats were on board with the country moving forward even in times of political loss for this side. They put the country first.
That has changed.
The goal is now to stop ALL progress unless it is progress that fits directly into the Democratic narrative.
Just look at the current issue of the stimulus money.
People are in need but Pelosi has to have her pork or else no money for those in need. THIS IS NORMAL for the current Democratic Party.
As for "sustainable," just look to the state of California - the ultimate liberal state. They are a practical example of what Pelosi & company would have the US become: a country that practices absolutely zero fiscal responsibility and makes promises it cannot possibly keep without bankrupting the state.
Just ask yourself this... As a Democrat, if the Presidential election is lost, will the Dems get in line and just work alongside the Repubs to make the country grow or will the fight at every turn as they did in the current 4 years?
Will they simply do what's best for all or will they simply continue to waste the country's time and resources with ridiculous attacks on the sitting President?
Will they continue to create worthless accusations and endless investigations just to toss their shoes into the machinery to break the system?
Will they do all this and call themselves "patriots" for doing so?
Obama was MY President. Didn't much like him, certainly didn't respect him, but he was duly elected. That's what Americans do: they support their country.
If Trump gets elected, will he be YOUR president, too?
That's my answer.

You say that Obama was "your president"...and that's commendable. But, how many of our Republican brethren here do you suppose would say the same thing? The only Republican opinions about Obama that I've ever seen mentioned here have painted the man as a "Muslim-loving, hater of America". Is that what is meant by "supporting our duly elected president"? And if Biden should happen to win the upcoming election...my bottom dollar says that his crucifixion will begin on this board the very same day that the election results are verified...regardless of how "duly elected" the man becomes. JustRalph is already calling for the "special prosecutor" on "ole Joe", before the votes have even been counted. You are kidding yourself if you truly believe that the partisan hatred only swings one way.
And, to answer your question...yes. If Trump is elected again...then he is my president. The people speak...and that's fine by me. But I'm not naive enough to believe that my opinions are shared by the majority...or that only one party is responsible for our country's woes.
You say that Clinton had a good presidency...and I agree. But if that was indeed the case...how did G.W. Bush subsequently screw things up as much as he did...if the Republican Party is really as "pro-American" as it's advertised to be?

Unfortunately, he will have to be. We'll have no other choice.
Just like you the last four years.

Or the next four. To me...this upcoming election is yet another no-win situation.

Thaskalos,
I learned a long time ago that having a discussion with someone demands both parties have open minds.
One of us does not meet that criteria.
For that reason, I am out.
(Oh, sorry. Was just watching Shark Tank.)
