Kasparov on Radical Islam
"If you are to combat an illness you must diagnose the disease correctly. This is why the phrase “radical Islam” matters and isn’t a mere question of semantics or prejudice. Hillary Clinton is one of many who refuse to use the phrase “radical Islam,” as she tried to explain why to George Stephanopoulos on TV last Sunday. Her reasoning was weak because the case is weak, and it’s a cheap political game during a deadly crisis. It is also a dangerous mistake because a faulty diagnosis leads us to faulty remedies.
First, some important caveats. I sympathize with the desire to reduce Islamophobia and paranoia against the 1.6 billion Muslims in the world, a vast majority of whom are peaceful. Muslims make up the overwhelming majority of international terrorists—and also of their victims. Demonizing an entire religion is ignorant, un-American, and reeks of fascism, something Donald Trump and his fans should keep in mind.
I also don’t like giving too much respect to murderers and jihadists by conceding their assertions, much as referring to the stateless Islamic State by their claims to a grand caliphate. And I generally agree with the essential Iyad El-Baghdadi that so-called religious wars are more about power, politics, and tribe than religion.
But we cannot let subtle arguments and political correctness blind us to the deadly facts. There are entire systems of Islamic education and belief behind the terror, from al-Qaeda to Hamas to Boko Haram to ISIS, from the brutal rulers of Shiite Iran to the differently aligned human rights horrors of Wahhabi Sunni Saudi Arabia. William McCants’ recent scholarly book on the origins and beliefs of ISIS leaves no doubt that while this is a theological argument, it is very much an argument within Islam. (It seems worth keeping in mind that Shiites, a minority estimated at 200 million, are considered heretics and non-Muslims by many Sunnis. Perhaps we should ask Hillary where she stands on this.)
You may choose to call those who carry out the beheadings and terror attacks and other atrocities “perversions of Islam” or followers of “a distorted version of Islam,” but there is already a term for those who murder and preach murder in the name of Islam: radical Islamists.
No one disputes that they are radicals—they employ violence to achieve their agenda. It is a small fraction, yes, but it is a substantial and well-armed and highly-motivated faction. They have outward ambitions and seek to established bases (“al-Qaeda” literally means “base”) in order to project violence. They are fighting not only a sectarian or religious battle, but one against modern civilization, and that battle has no borders at all. Arguing over who is and who isn’t a Muslim leaves Hillary and others in the odd position of theologians, arguing about how many terrorists can dance on the head of pin while more recruits launch more deadly attacks."

I'm With Trump: Keep 'em OUT!
And while nilly willy PC boys and girls are having hysterical hissy fits over Trump's sentiments, little do these muddle-headed puddle heads know that what Trump is advocating is already law of the land!

There is an islamic menace. Enough said.
Let allah sort it out in the end.
We are at war. Shit happens. People get hurt.
The last thing I am going to worry about is some muslim getting offended.
People were scared to report what they saw before the attacks last week. Enough with this GD PC bs crap - people's feelings are irrelevant. People died out there for GD PC.

Seems our politicians on both side of the aisle don'[t know very much about our laws.
Who let that group in here?

Better check your sources Hank. It's seems there are other views on what Reagan said and about who.

Au contraire! They know! But since that law has been passed, it has fallen out of favor when political correctness has become the unwritten law of the land. That legislation that Carter signed into law is no longer in vogue.

Since they have such a high view of Islam, we should deport them all as "refugees" and send them to various Islamic countries. They would feel right at home there, I'm sure...
